It was lovely timing for us to learn during the LGBTQ+ history month that we have had our contract to supply the NHS with our Laser Hair Reduction Service extended for a further 5 years (until April 2031.) This followed a prolonged and exacting tendering application wherein we had to evidence our knowledge, professionalism, efficacy, value for money and high ethical & safety valuesWe continue to be 1 of only 5 such clinics in East Anglia which is why The Health Counts Clinic has an excellent reputation for transgender treatments in Ipswich.

In January we gave a talk to a very lovely group of people from the Ipswich Trans & Non-Binary Folk organisation at The Whitton Clinic. There was so much interest and exchange of info that we were all there for nearly 3 hours! Some attendees were already registered with our clinic but it turned out that its not just laser hair removal that’s of relevance; all of our skin improving treatments were much asked after including microneedling, skin peels, microdermabrasion and using fillers and Botox to feminise appearance. Thread vein removal especially around the face/nose, and general skin care were also considered critical in bringing about a way of presenting yourself that really helps affirm identity.
