Wart Removal Treatment

My verruca felt like I had a pebble in my shoe all the time. After 3 treatments it just disappeared!” *

Warts and verrucas can be the bane of people’s lives; often unsightly and painful, they are notoriously difficult to get rid of. They are usually found on the hands or feet, and both are caused by the same family of viruses. They are easily spread from person to person usually by physical contact or a contaminated surface i.e. shower floor, swimming pool surround and so on.

Warts and verrucas don’t always need clinical treatment. Sometimes painting on a medicated liquid every day works, and sometimes they’ll just disappear by themselves. But either method can take a really long time – if it works at all – and in the meantime, the virus can spread and cause new problems.

If you’d rather not wait and hope, or you have been unable to treat the problem yourself, we can treat both warts and verrucas in our clinic. We can’t guarantee you’ll never get any more, but we can definitely target the ones you have. We get the best results in treating lesions which are less than 2 years old and you’ll need to have them pared back to as thin as is possible (without drawing blood) before we treat you.  Treatment is also less effective if you’re suffering from an underlying medical disorder such as an auto-immune issue. Using our N-Lite pulsed dye laser, we can destroy the blood supply that feeds the virus as well as heating the virus itself up to an extent that kills it or damages it.

Treatment costs start at £50 per lesion though we can probably discount multiple lesions.  So if  you’d rather your wart or verruca doesn’t get any older; get in touch with Health Counts!
